Please note that from 1st October 2015, Glastonbury Health Centre will no longer be accepting prescription requests by phone. You will still be able to request repeated medication by hand, by post or (if you are signed up) via the online request service. Some pharmacies can also request medication on behalf of their customers - please discuss this with your pharmacist.

Calling all patients we need your help to form a Practice Patient Group (PPG)
The aim of the group, which should be representative of our patient ages and genders, would be to meet with the GP Partner Dr JX Meguer and Business Manager Sandie Sealey to discuss our services, suggest new services and review our surveys. We would rely on the PPG to help us focus on service direction and improvement. The group would meet three times a year at the health centre. Health Connections Mendip is a new health and wellbeing service available to patients. Patients can talk to a health connector at the surgery to find out about local activities, support and services available, and can also arrange one-to-one appointments to speak to a Connector. During these appointments a Health Connector will listen to your health story and assist you with setting health-related goals which are meaningful to you. Health Connectors also support you to make positive changes that last. Health awareness raising sessions are regularly held throughout the month in the waiting room giving you the opportunity to talk to organisations such as Age UK and Citizens Advice Bureau. You will also find regular health walks leaving from the surgery on alternate Fridays.

You can now order your repeat prescription and book an appointment online using Patient Access.
Whether you are at home or work you can quickly log on to order repeat prescriptions via the internet. Available 24 hours a day, it's especially useful when the practice is closed or telephone lines are busy.You are required to register for this service. Please call in at the surgery to apply for an account. To save time you can also complete the registration and bring this in to the surgery.

NHS England will soon be utilising patient data from GP practices for the new care.data service.
The aim of care.data is to improve healthcare by increasing the availability of timely and accurate data to allow services to be better designed for patients. Patient data will be combined with information from other care settings such as hospitals with the intention of improving healthcare overall and to aid research.
